Intro to Chef Knives - Petty Chef Knife - with Matthew Parkinson

In this one day class, students will make an all steel petty chef knife with an approximately 6” long blade and forged all steel handle. These knives are sure to be a favorite of your kitchen.

Students will learn the basics of forging as well as heat treating , grinding and sharpening as it applies to knives. Each student will walk away with a finished knife.

Refund Policy: Students who withdraw from a class up to two weeks before the class are eligible for a full refund less any transaction fees.

Additional Information:

• The class breaks for an hour lunch. You are welcome to bring your lunch or plan to grab something at one of the many local lunch spots. The instructor will be able to assist. Also, plan to bring a water bottle - classes are physically demanding.
• Wear appropriate clothing, preferably cotton, and close toed leather shoes or boots.
• Safety glasses will be provided. Gloves are available but not recommended.
