Students will learn the basics of hand-building different forms with slabs of clay. Ideal for the beginner, but more advanced students are also welcome to build on their knowledge in this class. Students may also request to try the potter’s wheel to learn basic throwing skills. Tuition includes the use of equipment, tools, 25 lbs. of clay, glazes, firings, and open studio access during the course.
Wednesdays, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Open to high school students (14+) & adults
Gilchrist Learning Center, 220 Pierce Street, Sioux City, 51101. Free parking at the Art Center.
Tuition: $170, members receive a 20% discount on classes and workshops.
