In this beginner's class, Cindy will introduce you to the "tools of the trade", and show you how to use them, along with basic information you will need for your calligraphy experience. You will learn the Foundations Hand,which will provide a solid understanding of letter forms and structure-necessary to start your journey into the Art of Beautiful Writing. She will provide you with examples and guidelines, demonstating the Lower Case Roman Letters(minuscules) and Roman Capitals(majuscules) and offer suggestions as you start to learn the structure and form of all the letters. Cindi will work with each student as they learn the formations of the letters and encourage each student to use what they've learned to continue their personal calligraphy journey! Please bring a lunch. All materials will be provided and you will get to take your calligraphy set home with you. Please upon registering let staff be aware if you are left handed or right handed.
