Into The Fold 2026

Winchester School of Art is pleased to invite you to Into the Fold 2026, the University of Southampton's third Artist Book and Zine Fair, a free event showcasing artwork by local students and regional artists for sale.

Event Information

Into the Fold will feature stalls from artist book and zine makers from across the UK including WSA students, staff and local artists.

Over the two days, there will also be exhibitions: Folding Space: Japanese and UK Artists' Books curated by Noriko Suzuki-Bosco and Catherine Polley in The Winchester Gallery and I am a book: Japan in the Artists Book Collection curated by Catherine Polley, in the WSA Library gallery space. In addition, there will be an opportunity to attend an introduction and handling session on the Artists' Book Collection at WSA Library, printmaking and other activities, a talk by James Macdonell & Grant Cox from Library’s Digital Scholarship Team and a performative event with artist Sebastiane Hegarty. In memory of Mark Pawson, we will be running an ‘I love free stuff’ table for you to take and/or remake with. Booking is not required for Silence on Loan, the student run printmaking and other activities

The event will take place on the University of Southampton's Winchester campus on Park Avenue across two days. Please indicate which day you wish to attend by ordering the corresponding ticket - guests are welcome to visit at any time the event is open on that day.

Please note that there will be many items for sale by the artists who created them. Some stalls will accept e-payments and others cash. There are cash points in Winchester city centre about 10mins walk away from the event.

WSA Cafe

The cafe will be open on Friday 6 March until 5pm and on Saturday 7 March from 10am - 4pm
