Into the Dream Landscape: A Guided Surreal Painting Workshop

An immersive painting experience focused on intuition, abstraction, and surreal landscapes inspired by nature and inner imagery. No experience required.

This intimate, in-person workshop is an invitation to paint differently.

Rather than focusing on realism or rigid techniques, Into the Dream Landscape guides participants into a slower, more intuitive creative process — where landscapes emerge from feeling, memory, and imagination.

Led by artist Cheryl-Ann Hills, this workshop blends gentle instruction, guided prompts, and open exploration. Participants are encouraged to let go of perfection and trust what unfolds on the canvas.

You will leave with:

• A completed surreal or abstract landscape painting
• Tools to access creative flow and intuition
• A deeper connection to your own creative voice
• All levels welcome. No prior painting experience required.

Materials

Participants bring their own painting supplies (materials list provided upon registration).

Location: Indoor venue in Hamilton to be confirmed; either west mountain area or downtown area

Duration: 4 hours

Medium: any medium that you wish to use is acceptable including mixed media, watercolour, oil and acrylic
