Interwoven: Family Peach Picking at Mt. Pleasant Farms

Special Operations Forces Families are invited to join The Station Foundation for a morning of outdoor play and mindfulness at Mt. Pleasant Farms. Participants will tap into all five senses while picking peaches in the orchard and will meet friendly farm animals on the property. With open spaces for children to run, play, and explore the train themed playground, both parents and children will enjoy the peacefulness nature provides.

Exploring the outdoors with childlike wonder and curiosity is terrific for brain health. When we slow down to observe and appreciate the details of our surroundings with our senses, the brain floods the body with dopamine which makes us feel happier. Being curious enhances problem solving and strengthens perspective taking. Families will see the fruits of their labor by working together and sharing this fun morning of connection with one another.

Event Details:

All ages are welcome.
Participants are encouraged to dress in play clothes. Sunscreen is recommended.
Water will be provided.
Each family may pick up to 1 peck of peaches courtesy of The Station. Quantities exceeding 1 peck are available for individual purchase.
Refreshments will be served.

When registering for an event, all required fields on the order form must be completed in its entirety. Incomplete order forms will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding and helping us ensure event security and the highest quality experience possible.
