Interstellar: An Evening with Roger Sayer

A once-in-a-lifetime live performance of the Interstellar organ score in North Bay.

Experience the breathtaking music of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar as you’ve never heard it before. Roger Sayer, the internationally acclaimed organist whose 2014 collaboration with Hans Zimmer helped create one of the most iconic soundtracks in modern cinema, performs his extraordinary live arrangement of the Interstellar organ score at North Bay’s historic Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption.

Roger is the original organist featured on the film’s soundtrack. Since the film’s release, he has brought this unique concert experience to sold-out audiences across the globe, performing music drawn directly from the original six-organ recording sessions. Audiences will be immersed in the soundtrack’s emotional depth and cosmic scale through a powerful, continuous performance of Roger’s custom Interstellar Suite.

This is more than a concert. It is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand stories from Roger’s work with Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan, including the creative and technical challenges of building a score performed across six church organs. During a mid-program Q&A, Roger shares behind-the-scenes insight and answers audience questions.
