About this Event
Register now for a free yoga class to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8. We support the 2025 IWD theme of “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality” and invite all Women & Femme-Identifying people to join us at Purusha Yoga SF.
In the tradition of yoga, the divine feminine is honored and revered. In our practice at Purusha, we seek a balance and harmony of energies within the “feminine” and “masculine.” In a Hindu-based practice, counterparts are often referred to as Shiva and Shakti, and as yin and yang in the Taoist tradition.
Together we’ll celebrate and honor the traits of the feminine Shakti: creativity, inclusivity, and spiritual nourishment, with a sixty-minute Vinyasa-styled class inclusive to all levels of experience. Enjoy a beautiful, heartfelt practice among friends and socialize after in our gathering space with tea and snacks.
Purusha is a proudly women-owned business in the Outer Richmond district of San Francisco. Join two of our fantastic teachers- Hannah Williams and Annie Dang- in creating an intentional, safe, and accessible space for yoga this International Women’s Day!
Be sure to register EARLY as space is limited.
Meet your teachers!
Hannah (200HR RYT) began to practice yoga in 2018 as part of a somatic therapeutic journey. Since then, she has become a dedicated student and teacher of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga styles, with additional certifications in trauma-informed education through the Art of Yoga Project. Hannah aims to provide her community with accessible and trauma-informed holistic care. Her current platform – Activate, Home for the Political Yogi– seeks to re-engage the modern yoga movement with an anti-oppressive social justice framework, honoring the call for unity at the heart of the practice. Born and raised in Oakland, Hannah is delighted to be in San Francisco and grateful to join the Purusha community. She looks forward to seeing you on the mat!

Annie Dang began her yoga journey in 2019, quickly discovering the power of presence and the grace it can bring on (and off) the mat. Finding solace in yoga, she was drawn to deepen her practice at Purusha Yoga School, graduating from their 200-Hour YTT. Playful in spirit, she approaches her classes with joy and lightheartedness, offering a safe space to be playful and curious.
