The Canadian Covid Society invites you to witness the impact of long Covid at a public awareness event on International Long Covid Awareness Day.200+ personal stories of lives changed by long Covid have been written on pillowcases, which will be laid out on the lawn at Queen’s Park, to show the scale and scope of this condition.
People with long Covid are invited to create their own pillowcase and bring it to the event in person (if your energy allows).
We invite everyone in the community—including patients, their families and caregivers—to join us in raising awareness at this event.
Speeches will begin at 2 p.m.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Angela M. Cheung, a long Covid researcher in the University Health Network (UHN) and professor of medicine at the University of Toronto, will be speaking at 2 p.m.
As we mark 5 years of long Covid for many patients, we need solutions and support—and that begins with awareness.
Please note: As medically vulnerable people will be attending this event, we ask all attending to wear a respirator to keep everyone safe from Covid and other illnesses.
Join us on March 15th to be part of a global movement that features events around the world!
