International Day of Peace (free to the public)
The International Day of Peace, or Peace Day, is observed annually on September 21st. Established by the United Nations in 1981, it is a globally recognized day dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace, non-violence, and a global ceasefire. This event will feature speakers from various community organizations and individuals, live musical entertainment, food trucks (hopefully), and activities for children, including Ben's Bubble Show, a drum circle, and face painting.
Our keynote speaker will be John Gatica, M.Ed., author, poet, and educator.
