Rope Bowls & Baskets WorkshopJoin us for this fun and inspiring intermediate sewing workshop. We'll be machine-sewing simple cotton rope to create a one-of-a-kind basket or bowl. We'll share about the materials, where to source them, how to get started, and of course we'll give step-by-step instructions to complete you work.
Not only will you make a gorgeous, unconventional basket, but you'll also gain the following skills:
* Sewing on thick/tough materials
*installing and using a walking foot
*"edge joining"
*working a tight radius
*building a 3 dimensional form on the machine
Everyone works at their own pace. Although most people do finish by the end of the workshop, some work meticulously and may finish at home.
All materials are included and use of studio machines is included.
Light snacks and drinks are welcome. BYOB is not permitted during sewing classes due to the use of machinery.
