About this Event
In everyone's crochet journey, one will encounter Granny Squares at some point. What is it and how do you make one? This crochet classic is not only useful by itself, but it can be combined to make many other projects. Each granny square can have its own set of color schemes, which makes it a perfect 'stash buster'.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Turn a corner
- Double crochet
- Mixing colors
- Avoiding common mistakes with Granny Squares
- Combine Granny Squares into other projects
If you're comfortable crocheting flat pieces already and want to advance to the next level, Granny Squares is the thing for you!
Materials: Bring your own 'stash' to bust and crochet hooks, or arrive 10-15min prior to the workshop to purchase materials on-site.
Duration: 1.5 hours. We expect to be able to complete 1-2 granny squares in this time. If you are completely new to crocheting, we recommend attending a beginner-level class first, such as Crochet Pet Bed, Crochet Scarf or arrange for a private crochet lesson!
