Learn how to capture spaces with depth, emotion, and a strong visual perspective by famed interior Photographer Felix Speller.
Workshop duration: 2 Days ( 2.5 Hours per day)
Dates: 6,7 December 2026
Location: ElGouna, Red Sea
Venue: To be announced
-------
Outline of the workshop:
The workshop will be a half hour to one hour demo on how to capture a space with depth and emotion.
Teams will split off to practise what I have taught and I will go from group to group to answer any questions - preferable to bring camera and tripod each but people will work in teams of two and can share if needed.
We will assign a room to each team and they will take turns to shoot and then assist one another. If anyone wishes to follow up and share their images with me after I can critique their shots from the day (a chance to have their work critiqued by a professional AD photographer)
NOTE: Participation in this workshop is subject to portfolio review

About Felix Speller:
Felix Speller is a London-based photographer specialising in interiors and design. Over the past decade he has built an international practice working with leading designers, publications, brands and cultural institutions, with commissions taking him across Europe, the United States, the Middle East and beyond.
His work is defined by a precise yet atmospheric visual language, combining a strong understanding of composition and natural light with a sensitivity to material, colour and the character of a space. Rather than simply documenting an interior, Felix looks for the images that best communicate how it feels to experience it, distilling complex environments into photographs that feel calm, considered and natural.
His clients include Architectural Digest, Cassina, Romo Black Edition, Soho House, Rosewood Hotels, Ferm Living, Spotify and the Design Museum, alongside leading designers and studios internationally. His work in Egypt has included collaborations with Egyptian designers Tarek Shamma and Alia El Tanani, as well as editorial commissions for Architectural Digest Middle East. His photography has been published extensively across global editions of Architectural Digest and Elle Decoration, as well as Wallpaper*, Kinfolk, the Financial Times, Sunday Times Style, Dezeen and other international design and culture titles.
Alongside his commissioned practice, Felix has led photography workshops at the Design Museum and Mother Design and has lectured at Arts University Bournemouth. His teaching draws directly from years of experience producing editorial and commercial photography internationally, focusing on how composition, light, perspective and visual storytelling can be used to create images that go beyond documentation and develop a distinct photographic voice.
This Workshop is Fully Funded by The British Council in Egypt.
