Intergenerational and Accessible Bike Ride in Golden Gate Park
About this Event
San Francisco shines in October! Let’s spend some time outside together and explore Golden Gate Park on wheels. San Francisco Village, BORP Adaptive Sports and Recreation, and The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition are partnering to bring together riders of all ages and will have bikes to available to meet your accessibility needs. This ride is perfect for elders, families with kids, and anyone who would like to enjoy the park on a beautiful Friday afternoon.
Let us know what would help you join us – BORP will provide recumbent electric assist bikes, tandem side by side bikes, bikes with recumbent seats, and more! If you have a body, we’ll do our best to find a bike with the right fit/support. If you are borrowing an accessible bike, plan to get to the Bandshell by 2:00 PM to sign a waiver and find the right fit. If you want to partner with someone to help them ride, let us know and come by 2:00 PM.
You are also welcome to bring and ride your own bike! The pace will be slow and conversational and we don’t drop anyone. View the route here. Organizers request you wear a helmet as well; BORP will have some available for those using an accessible bike.
