Our stake has been invited to participate in an Interfaith Greenway Cleanup Day in Greenville on May 9th for families and the rest of us. The cleanup is being led by FROGGS (Friends of Greenville Greenways) member David Jackson from Bayt Shalom Synagogue in Greenville, who says: "It’s a quadruple mitzvah—cultivating relationships, cleaning up our Greenway, supporting Greenville, increasing health and safety, and helping the environment."Interfaith Greenway CleanupWhat: Join neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds as we work side-by-side to care for our community's green spaces. Please feel free to spread the word and bring your group! Participants of all ages are welcome.
When: Saturday 5/9 from 1:30-3pm (Note early afternoon start time rather than our usual late morning!)
Where: Fairfax Avenue trailhead of the West Greenway Extension (1308 Fairfax Ave). Carpooling is recommended!
What to bring/wear: Comfortable shoes are a must! Gloves and trash pickers/grabbers are welcome if you have them, but FROGGS will have enough on hand for everybody.
Registration: No registration needed, but reach out to Shannon Burch (252)258-1498 or Lori Wynne (508)308-2033 to let us know if you plan to attend, or have any questions. Watch for a JustServe signup
Please consider your schedule and support this effort!
