About this Event
An understanding of IP is vital for anyone with a creative enterprise, whether you are a writer, photographer, or musician. In this 40-minute one-to-one session with a Barrister and former musician and producer from 3PB Barristers, you will be able to gain advice and guidance about protecting and monetising your creative work.

Please note: This is a free 40 minute one-to-one session with an experienced Barrister delivered at Bristol Central Library. These sessions are available for pre-start-ups, startups, entrepreneurs, inventors, and SMEs within Bristol and the surrounding area.

About the expert
Mark Wilden is a specialist intellectual property barrister. He was called to the Bar in 2018 after a successful career as an audio producer, sound engineer, musician and project manager. He worked in house at Oxford University Press for eight years, played drums professionally, performed as a DJ and produced music podcasts through the 2000s. As a barrister he has worked on high profile IP matters for a wide range of clients, as well as advising and representing small businesses and individuals. He specialises in contractual disputes and all forms of ‘soft’ IP – copyright, trade marks, designs, confidential information and database rights.

What is your refund policy?
Our events are free, but places are limited and events are usually oversubscribed. Please give two working days’ notice via email if you wish to cancel.
Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?
Absolutely! Any Bristol based business or person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
