KAYLEIGH PETERS
Artist, ceramics and textiles
Crafting narratives on gender, health and protest
Kayleigh is a socially engaged artist working to encourage shifting perspectives surround women’s health and taboo subjects connected to womanhood.
Her practice explores the entangled relationship between the body, material, and systems of care. Working with ceramics and textiles, she draws on feminist craft traditions to interrogate how women’s health has been treated medically, socially, and symbolically; across time. Her work is rooted in the lived experience of hidden illness and draws attention to the emotional, physical, and institutional complexities of navigating the healthcare system as a woman.
We have Nostos ourselves from 9.30-11.30am for a delicious buffet of brunch treats including spinach and feta pie, sausage rolls and cake, tea and coffee, of course catering for vegans, non-vegans and gluten intolerance.
This will be a celebratory morning event with a maximum of 50 women and men.
