Insider's Tour: Arch Street United Methodist Church

Please join us for this Insider's Tour of Arch Street United Methodist Church on Friday May 8th at 3pm. The hard hat tour will include a brief presentation on the project followed by access to the exterior scaffold of the spire and discussions with the CVM construction and design team.

After several years of fundraising, this 6.7M project is nearing the end of construction this spring. Built in 1870, restoration work includes brick and marble masonry repair and replacement, slate roofing replacement, and interior plaster repair. With restoration made possible by support by the National Fund for Sacred Places and state RACP funds, Arch Street UMC is an example of the sustainability of long term investments in historic structures and the relevance of historic buildings in the public realm.

This tour takes place on an active construction site -- please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a hard hat if you have one. A limited number of hard hats will be available for those without one.
