Info: Novalumé, is a wellness sanctuary for women navigating seasonal affective disorder. Rooted in natural elements, the space uses light, material, and atmosphere to guide emotional restoration. Through sensory immersion and holistic healing practices, Novalumé reframes wellness as a cyclical relationship between body, environment, and nature’s rhythms.

Info: The Polish Cultural Heritage Center @ Fells Point, MD, weaves together exhibition, learning, and event spaces to support both celebration and everyday gathering. The project creates an immersive environment where visitors engage with traditions, language, and shared memory through spatial experience. It serves as a vital third place, strengthening cultural identity while fostering new connections across generations.

Info: Under One Roof, is a residential resource center designed to keep siblings together in foster care, combining apartment-style living with integrated on-site services. Through shared living spaces and accessible support, it fosters stability, independence, and a sense of home. The project reimagines foster care by prioritizing family bonds and long-term emotional well-being.

Info: The River and Roots Environmental Museum centers on the idea that nature is a powerful connector. Linking people to one another and to a shared ecological future in one space. By emphasizing accessibility, the museum reimagines the natural world as something not distant or exclusive, but welcoming for all bodies, backgrounds, and abilities. Through inclusive design and immersive experiences, it highlights the surrounding environment in the Southern Tier of New York that might not be fully accessible for people. Ultimately, the museum proposes that when nature is made accessible, it becomes a unifying force, cultivating empathy, stewardship, and a deeper human connection to the environment and to each other.

Info: Eirene School transforms a historic industrial building in Paterson, NJ, into a boarding magnet school for immigrant young women, where residential life, education, and care exist as one continuous environment. The project asks how architecture can become a form of refuge, giving students the stability, visibility, and support needed to imagine futures beyond survival.

Info: The Mustang Education & Adoption Center was established for visitors to move through learning spaces, exhibits, and adoption areas that show how mustangs have shifted from prey to companions. The space encourages hands-on understanding and connection, helping people see these animals differently and support more thoughtful adoption and care.

Info: Ridgeland Music Grounds is a campus-style rental retreat that invites musicians to live in Philadelphia while recording an album. The property centers around a restored historic mansion, complemented by two barns thoughtfully transformed into recording studios. Each studio is acoustically distinct, shaped by the character of its original structure and further differentiated by its own mixing board, allowing artists to explore a range of sonic identities. Recognizing the intense pressures faced by touring musicians — constant travel, high expectations, and prolonged time away from support systems — Ridgeland Music Grounds was conceived as more than a recording destination. It is a place of restoration, focus, and creative clarity, designed to support both the artistic process and the mental well-being of those who inhabit it.

Info: BUOY designs a sanctuary in Chester County for Participants Seeking Treatment (PST’s) in mental health crises and recovery, grounded in a simple premise: a buoy has one purpose, to keep things afloat. Integrating therapy, daily life, and dog interaction, the space fosters connection, routine, and emotional safety. It redefines care by positioning companionship as an active agent in healing.
