'Inside/ Outside' Art Exhibition By Amber Lily

‘Join us at this exhibition showcasing work created through a Peshkar-funded creative wellbeing project led by artist Amber Lily.

Over the past few months, Amber Lily has worked with young people, teaching them through workshops focused on mark-making and colour. Using tools, collage, and mixed media, participants were encouraged to explore materials freely and use abstract processes to express inner emotion and personal ideas visually.

The project prioritised process over product, supporting freedom, experimentation, and play. With no fixed outcomes, every mark was valued as meaningful. Sessions centred on abstract expression, texture, and colour, allowing each participant to develop their own visual language.

The exhibition brings together a series of personal concertina books created around the theme Inside / Outside, exploring internal feeling alongside external experience. Alongside the students’ work, the exhibition also reflects how the project has informed and developed Amber Lily’s own artistic practice.
