inside:out Creative Writing Expression Lab

Inside:Out – The Expression Lab is a free creative writing programme for Lewisham and Southwark residents, designed to help participants explore their voice, develop storytelling skills, and express themselves creatively.

• Creative Writing Sessions – Learn techniques for writing poetry, short stories, scripts, and more, guided by experienced facilitators.
• Brainstorming & Collaboration – Work with others to generate ideas, share feedback, and develop your writing in a supportive environment.
• Research & Development – Explore your topics deeply and learn how to shape your ideas into engaging written work.
• Performance Opportunities – Bring your work to life in readings and performances, building confidence and presentation skills.

• Wednesdays | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Riverside Youth Club

Participants gain confidence in writing and self-expression, enjoy creative collaboration, and have the chance to see their work performed. Many have shared how the programme has inspired them to continue writing, develop their creativity, and connect with their community through storytelling.
