Dr Mike Short brings a remarkable 40-year career in Electronics and Telecommunications. Mike was appointment by the UK Government's Department for International Trade in 2017 as Chief Scientific Adviser and awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his outstanding services to the mobile industry. He has chaired the Mobile Data Association, the IET and the GSM Association, and served as a Board member of both ETSI and Innovate UK. A Visiting Professor at UCL and the University of Surrey, and an adviser for the UK–India Future Networks initiative. Mike breadth of experience and insight make this a genuinely great opportunity to hear from one of the leading figures in global telecommunications.
