About this Event
The Greater Manchester Innovation Literacy Programme is an engaging, hands-on training course designed for apprentices who want to turn their ideas into action.
To complete this exciting programme, you will attend two training days held on the dates and times below:
Day 1: Wednesday 8th July – 9:30am – 5:00pm
Day 2: Thursday 9th July – 9:30am – 5:00pm
After completing the two training days, you will gain Digital Badges for your CV and be certified as an Apprentice Innovation Ambassador.

The training days cover eight immersive sessions, where you will explore the entire journey of innovation—from idea generation to testing, communication, and building a culture where innovation thrives, enabling you to return to your business to improve productivity and create value

Who is behind it?
The Innovation Literacy Programme is the creation of GM Colleges (through funding from Innovate UK Further Education Innovation Fund) and is supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

To reserve a place you must complete all questions so we can assess your eligibiity for the programme. Preference is given to apprentices based in one of the 10 Greater Manchester Boroughs

Day 1

Module One - Foundations of Innovation
Info: This is where the excitement starts! In the first module we're inspired by creativity of others, and understand how to get creative ourselves! The morning starts with welcome refreshments from 9, but we get stuck in from 9.30!

Module 2 - Prototyping and Problem Solving
Info: After lunch it's a hands on creative session - You'll be given a brief, some materials and will make a prototype product. it's a collaborative effort and you'll get to try it out in front of the group, gaining valuable insights in to design and testing prototypes.
Day 2

Module 3 - Communication and Culture of Innovation
Info: Welcoming you in from 9, we'll kick off at 9.30 with a session on communicating your ideas and how you can help your workplace become an environment where ideas are born and innovation thrives.

Module 4 - Strategic Thinking and Proposal Development
