Join us in the Pink Garter Theatre Lobby as Jackson-based rock band Inland Isle performs to celebrate the release of its second album, "In Denial." Self-recorded and -produced, the eight-song LP explores how relationships are reshaped by curated social feeds, algorithmic rabbit holes, AI-generated advice, and magical thinking.
Named after an apt mishearing of the band’s name, In Denial taps piano-centric orchestrations à la Harry Nilsson, the experimental spirit of Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and a potent melding of 70s and 90s guitar rock. The songs were written by singer-guitarist Patrick Chadwick and lead guitarist Dusty Nichols, while bassist Leif Routman contributed multiple horn arrangements central to the album’s expansive sound. In Denial marks the first full-album contribution by drummer Liam O’Neill, who joined the band in 2022 and brings a fresh energy to the songs.
The show is 21+, with drinks available for purchase from The Rose and food available from El Metate.
