About this Event
Changing Your Residence Status (§24) in Germany — Information Session for LGBTIQ+ refugees from Ukraine
Many people from Ukraine are currently living in Germany under temporary protection (§24). This protection has been extended at EU level until 4 March 2027. At the same time, it is still unclear what will happen afterwards. For this reason, it can be helpful to look into alternative residence options at an early stage.
🗓 May 27, 16:00 - 18:00
📍Oderberger Straße 60, 10435 Berlin
📌 This is a hybrid event: you can join in person or online
🗣 The session will be held in English. Questions can also be asked in Ukrainian or Russian
➡️ Participation is free of charge
This session offers an introduction to the possibilities of changing from §24 to other residence titles in Germany - for example through employment, vocational training (Ausbildung), or Volunteer Services (BFD). We will outline the main pathways and explain the key requirements for each option.
