Industry Networking Night | Makers meet Interior Designers & Stylists
About this Event
artisan is bringing together a small panel of interior designers and stylists to talk candidly about how they source, commission and work with makers: what they look for in a collaboration, how they brief a maker, and the realities of specifying or styling handmade pieces for a project. It's a relaxed, conversational format rather than a lecture, followed by an open Q&A and networking over drinks.
Whether you're a maker curious about how the design and styling industry actually works, or an interior designer or stylist keen to meet the people behind Queensland's craft and design scene, this one's for you.
About the panel
Angela Spillane, studiospillane (panellist and moderator)
Angela Spillane is the director of studiospillane, a Brisbane-based commercial interior design studio working across aviation, hospitality and hotel environments. Her studio's work spans airport terminals, hotel fitouts and hospitality venues for clients including Brisbane Airport Corporation and Minor Hotels Australasia, with around 80% of their work coming from repeat clients, a strong sign of the trust built over long-term partnerships. Angela joins us as both panellist and moderator for the evening, bringing a grounded, business-minded perspective on what makes a design and maker relationship actually work.
