Indoor Listening Skills Lab: Teach Your Dog to Focus & Come When Called

If your dog listens beautifully at home but seems to “forget everything” in public, you’re not alone. Winter is the perfect time to strengthen your dog’s focus, attention, and early recall skills in a safe, warm, indoor space.

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly workshop held inside Lowe’s in Carson City, where your dog will learn how to tune in, stay connected, and respond to you even with real-life distractions happening around them.

We’ll begin with a quick check-in outside the Garden Center entrance, then head indoors for hands-on training in a comfortable, pet-friendly environment.

No experience required — this workshop is perfect for everyday dog owners who want a calmer, more responsive dog.

During this relaxed and supportive 2.5-hour session, we’ll cover:

Teach your dog to look at you quickly and naturally, even around other dogs and shoppers.

Fun, easy exercises that help your dog WANT to stay connected with you.

The building blocks of a reliable “come when called,” including orientation games, short recall drills, and confidence-boosting patterns.

Learn how to help your dog settle, walk politely, and make good choices around distractions.

Everything is beginner-friendly, positive, and designed for real-life success.
