Join us for the September edition of our employee-driven charitable initiative INDEED WE CAN, as we highlight the Sojourner Family Peace Center.
Sojourner Family Peace Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin, serving nearly 10,000 clients each year.
Established in 1975, Sojourner provides an array of support aimed at helping families affected by domestic violence achieve safety, justice, and well-being.
Sojourner Family Peace Center’s mission is to transform lives impacted by domestic violence. Their primary goals are to ensure the safety of victims of domestic violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their families.
As a nonprofit organization, Sojourner Family Peace Center relies on the contributions of individuals, community partners, and local businesses to ensure the continued support of crisis response, system advocacy, and healing services that help survivors build lives free from abuse.
SOJOURNER ANNUAL IMPACT :
↠ 9,656 survivors experience lifesaving services
↠ 16,855 nights of shelter for women, children, and men fleeing violence
↠ 13,562 answered calls to their 24-hour domestic violence hotline
↠ 4,092 people seeking restraining orders are assisted by their staff
↠ 64,751 contacts made with clients seeking assistance
