Inclusive CLimbing Launch Event

Join us as we launch a brand-new inclusive climbing initiative at The Ledge Climbing Wall in Inverness. This special first session marks the beginning of a regular programme designed to make climbing accessible, supported and welcoming for everyone, including disabled and neurodivergent people and anyone who has felt excluded from sport.

Whether you want to try climbing for the first time, rediscover the joy of movement, connect with others or simply be part of a community-led celebration of inclusion, this event is for you.

Many disabled people and those facing social, cultural or financial barriers still don’t see themselves represented in active wellbeing spaces.
This event aims to change that — by proving what is possible when spaces are designed to include, not exclude.

The launch event will:

• Introduce the concept of inclusive, adaptive climbing
• Give participants the chance to shape how the programme develops
• Build connections across the disabled and wider community
• Celebrate the start of something designed for belonging, pride and joy

You are welcome whether you climb, watch, cheer others on or simply explore the space.

• Supportive instructors and facilitators
• Adaptive equipment and harnesses
• 1:1 support available when needed
• Sensory-aware approach and flexible communication
• Involvement of support workers, staff, friends and family
• A calm, positive and welcoming space

No previous climbing experience is required.

Future sessions will continue monthly, but this launch is a celebration of the very first one — and you’re invited to be part of it from the start.
