Join us for the two-person exhibition 'In the Company of Water' by Rubee Prattley-Jones and Kaiqi Qiu, opening 5:30pm Tuesday 4 February at The Strand Arcade, Shop 21.
Kaiqi and Rubee’s practices are intertwined through their mutual love and interest in water, utilizing clay as a medium to explore this essential element. Kaiqi’s work embodies the quiet rhythm of the water, delving into themes of self-reflection and personal evolution. In contrast, Rubee’s pieces illustrate the imprint of water's touch on the shoreline and the interactions between humans and the oceanic environment. This exhibition calls audiences to consider relationships with water, it’s integralness to life, and how it forms the world around us.
The opening of this exhibition will take place on Tuesday 4 February from 5:30pm, all are welcome! The show will be available to view by appointment from Wednesday 5 to Friday 14 February, please get in touch with either Kaiqi [email protected] or Rubee [email protected] to arrange a viewing.
