In Resonance: The Student Edition

In Resonance: The Student Edition is an evening showcase celebrating the musical journeys of students of The ROS Singers - Singapore's professional a cappella choral ensemble and the nation's first charitable organisation helmed by a professional choral ensemble. Over a dozen performers take the stage in solos, duets, and small ensembles, sharing repertoire that spans centuries and continents: from Vivaldi's Gloria and Bellini's I Puritani to Lakmé, Ravel's Mélodies populaires grecques, The Greatest Showman, and The Little Mermaid.

Each performance reflects months of dedicated learning, guided by committed mentors and brought to life alongside award-winning collaborative pianist Matthew Mak. Singaporean-born, Matthew has been praised by the Straits Times as one who "played with feeling" and by Der Westen Düsseldorf as delivering "brilliant playing." He has won the Outstanding Pianist award at the Orientale Concentus Choral Festival consecutively in 2016 and 2017, and is currently a collaborative pianist at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and an instructor at the Piano Club in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

This is more than a recital. It is a celebration of growth, creativity, and the joy of sharing music with the people who matter most.
