6 & 7 March - Nancy Ponto

Nancy Ponto is an Indonesian rising star whose one-of-a-kind vocal range and expressive delivery are quickly setting her apart on the contemporary jazz scene. Rooted in jazz but unafraid to explore beyond its traditional boundaries, she brings a fresh, modern sensibility to the genre while honouring its emotional depth.

Drawing inspiration from legendary jazz voices and instrumentalists, Nancy blends lyrical phrasing, rich tone, and fluid improvisation to create performances that feel both intimate and expansive. Her sound moves effortlessly between classic jazz, smooth jazz, and subtle touches of soul, pop, and R&B — creating a style that is accessible yet unmistakably her own.

On stage, Nancy’s performances are immersive and deeply emotive. Whether delivering a tender ballad or a vibrant, groove-driven piece, she connects instinctively with her audience, evoking warmth, nostalgia, and quiet intensity. Her artistry lies not only in her remarkable range, but in her ability to tell a story through every phrase.

As one of Indonesia’s most exciting emerging jazz voices, Nancy Ponto represents a new generation of artists shaping the future of the genre — elegant, expressive, and perfectly suited to the intimacy of the jazz-club stage.
