Join us for the opening of Sheldon Saint's solo exhibition "In Quiet Moments" from 5 pm to 8 pm at the D'Aguilar Art Foundation.
In Quiet Moments is a visual exploration of island life, where the everyday realities and quiet beauty of the community are brought to life through soft, gentle hues. Sheldon Saint invites viewers to witness the laborious tasks that shape the rhythm of island life—fishing, cutting bait, harvesting conch—and the subtle moments of stillness and joy that emerge amidst this work. Using watercolour and oil, Saint captures the textures, colours, and light of the Bahamian landscape, from the shimmering waters to the warmth of the people who inhabit them, infusing them with a sense of nostalgia and timelessness.
Saint’s work is deeply rooted in his surroundings, offering a glimpse into the landscapes and daily routines that define island life.
