About this Event
Join us in this fun and engaging class, where you will learn how to make Italian fresh pasta from scratch. Chef Karlo will teach you what types of flour are ideal to use and others that can be used in a pinch and why. You'll get to work with both nonna's rolling pin and a pasta machine and will learn how to combine ingredients and flavors to make your own fillings at home. In this class, you will learn how to make Raviolone (large raviolo) and how to adapt that technique to make traditional ravioli. The Chef will also teach you about different kinds of truffles, where they come from and when each type should be used. By the end of class, you'll know how to give your pasta that special, professional-level touch that will surprise your family and friends at your next dinner party and will sit down to enjoy your meal with Chef Karlo and your fellow foodie friends!
No experience is required! All equipment and ingredients will be provided. Our events are casual and meant to be fun, relaxing and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Karlo's apartment. Please see guest requirements for more specific directions and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get comfortable. Guests are welcome to BYOB.

Guests are invited to BYOB, for those 21+ wine, beer, or champagne is welcome. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. There is a free parking lot on Lake Street behind the chef's building, across the street from the firehouse. As long as you don't park in the front row of the lot that faces his building, you can park anywhere else in this lot. Please be sure NOT to park in the firehouse parking lot to avoid getting a ticket. There is also street parking available as well as a metered lot in front of the nearby Bank of America. The building entrance that is closest to his apartment is the ramp that is located next to Cajun Claws. Please call the chef upon your arrival so he can come let you into the building.
