In-person class: Make Your Own Dumplings (Austin)

In this dumpling making master class you'll delve into the art of crafting delectable dumplings. Our session kicks off with a demonstration on crafting the perfect dumpling dough.
Two different fillings will be demonstrated during the class: Pork and Cabbage dumplings and Veggie (vegan friendly option). There will be an opportunity to try your hands at some knife skills to assist in the filling preparation process. The culinary adventure continues as you master the fundamentals of dumpling folding, exploring various shapes such as triangular, crescent, and pleated using dumpling wrappers. Elevate your cooking expertise with insider tips on steaming and pan-frying techniques, ensuring your dumplings are nothing short of perfection. We'll share our favorite resources in Austin for sourcing ingredients and basic equipment for dumpling making at home.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don't already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who's happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Outside drinks are not permitted. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests may purchase wine (21+), coffee and pastries beverages from Cafe Creme.
