In-person class: Better than takeout: Orange Chicken (SD)

Do you ever wish you could learn to recreate the recipes from your favorite Chinese takeout joint? You are in luck - Chef Scotty will show you how to recreate the sweet, spicy, and savory Orange Chicken!Class will start with a little bit of background on the dish and how it came to be so popular! You will learn how to coat and shallow fry your protein in a special batter. Learn to make the quintessential Orange Chicken sauce which is also cooked to get the right flavor balance. Then garnish and plate your dish with rice and a side of veggies. Take a quick pic of your masterpiece, and then get ready to dig right in!By the end of class, you will have all the cooking skills you need to master this Chinese takeout staple under your belt. No special luck from fortune cookies required!This class is perfect for beginners! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed.

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Outside drinks are not allowed. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 21+.
