Join us as we celebrate a quarter-century of dedication to our community! The In His Shoes - 2026 Award Celebration is a momentous occasion to honor individuals who have made significant strides in serving our community. Join us as we celebrate YOU!
This year, we're thrilled to present our 11 prestigious awards, including the Walter Washington Jr. "In His Shoes" Award. This bronze cast of Walter's actual shoes is a poignant tribute to the dedication he showed to the communities we serve and is a reminder of the hard work we do to create positive change across the Treasure Coast.

The Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council (TCHSC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in the State of Florida. TCHSC is the lead agency to the FL-509 Continuum of Care and has a mission to prevent and end homelessness on Florida’s Treasure Coast, and to assure that if homelessness happens, it is brief and non-recurring. TCHSC partners with over 60 organizations across Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties to provide services to families who are at risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness.
