In-between China and the World: Audio-Visual Portraits of Everyday International Relations

Step into the world of global China through a series of five captivating short documentary films made by researchers in Argentina, Thailand, Belarus and the Chinese borders of Russia and Myanmar. Meet singers, CEOs, beauty queens, jade traders, and noodle makers to see how they navigate cultural differences at the intersection of China and the world.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the films’ directors and editor, Kieran Hanson (University of Manchester, UK).
