USW Therapeutic Studies warmly invites colleagues from across sectors, community partners and Experts by Experience to join us for a day of insight, collaboration and community-led problem-solving focused on mental health and wellbeing.

This year’s showcase focuses on the Voices of Experts by Experience,

  • Amplifying carers’ voices. Showcase of a new Podcast and Q and A highlighting insights and experiences of carers navigating and accessing services.
  • Highlighting additional barriers faced by underserved communities and identifying what change is needed
  • Recognising the vital contribution of volunteers to mental health and community wellbeing across South Wales and the opportunities and challenges experienced.
  • Collaboration and Community led problem solving - What works and what’s needed to strengthen community mental health and wellbeing support.

Why Attend?

  • Hear directly from carers, volunteers, and community groups about priorities, obstacles and opportunities
  • Have your Say! Participants will have opportunities throughout the day to record their key messages, through a variety of inclusive formats, to service providers and policy makers
  • Strengthen cross-sector partnerships, with dedicated opportunities to network, connect and collaborate
  • Work collaboratively with community organisations, volunteers and professionals, to problem solve and shape future mental health and wellbeing support that is accessible to all
  • Take away actionable insights to inform effective community informed resourcing, service design and inclusive practice

Findings from the event will be shared in appropriate accessible formats with all who attend and will feed into ongoing work through our wider strategy and Partnership steering group to continue to improve access and reduce inequalities
