Improv Elective: Pretty Flower with Brian Shea

About the Class: Embrace the organized chaos of The Pretty Flower format in this four-week class. Start with a grounded source scene before turning up the energy with tags, jumps and cuts to explore every possibility outside that world. We will explore characters, heightening and support on the way to putting together an explosively fun set. This class requires students to have completed LIP's Improv 201 or Artistic Director approval! Students must be 18 or older for this class!

This Class will run Tuesdays from 7pm-9:30pm on the following dates: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, and 10/7. This class has a class show on Saturday 10/11 at 5pm! Ticket sale ends at noon on Sunday 9/14!

About the teacher: Brian Shea (he/him) discovered improv in 2015 and has gone full speed ahead ever since. He joined LIP in 2022 and performs with Peach Soda, Cult Classic and the LIP Touring Company. A co-founder of Highwire Improv, he also performs regularly in the Baltimore area with Teen Angst, Important Screws, Whatever This Is and other special projects. Brian loves to explore the possibilities improv can offer each perfomer. He has never met a tag run he didn’t love and knows way too many random facts about R.E.M.

Refund Policy: We will not refund any orders after the start of the first session.

Parking: There is street parking around the theater on Prince St, King St, and Vine St, which is not metered after 6pm and not metered Sundays! The parking garages are open. Steinman Garage, Prince St Garage, and Duke St Garage are recommended in that order! On the weekends the garage is $5 for the whole day!
