Big questions, brilliant science, and interactive experiments for curious minds
About this Event

Impossible Questions! is a live, interactive science show taking place as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival Family Day on Saturday 24 October only. Please book a timed entry slot for this Family Day first before confirming a show time. This event is presented as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival.

Join award‑winning author Isabel Thomas for a fast‑paced, fun exploration of the weird and wonderful questions that buzz around children’s brains at bedtime. From What’s the point of snot? to Are feelings made from atoms?, families will explore big ideas through demonstrations, audience participation and interactive experiments. There’ll also be a chance to share your own bamboozling brainteasers – you might even inspire Isabel’s next book!

Show times: 9.30am (SEN Hour), 11.30am and 1.30pm

9.30am SEN Hour: Science Stories, Nature Crafts and Meet the Author with Isabel Thomas. Perfect for children who prefer a smaller, quieter environment, this relaxed event combines fascinating nature stories with simple hands-on crafts celebrating some of Britain's most remarkable wildlife. Families will also have the opportunity to meet Isabel and ask questions about the author's books: Moth: An Evolution Story, Fox: A Circle of Life Story and Frog: A Story of Life on.
