Immersive Worlds: Cities, Castles and Countrysides
Explore the many worlds we inhabit, real and fantastical. Curated by North Pole Artist Max LaZebnik, this exhibition draws deeply from North Pole Studio’s archive to present a compelling selection of works that examine the spaces, landscapes, and communities that shape our sense of belonging. Moving between urban centers, fantastical structures, and rural environments, the featured works invite viewers to consider how meaning is constructed through place.
North Pole Studio supports careers in the arts and exists to increase opportunities for artists with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities to thrive as active members of the arts community. It fosters self-determination and facilitates meaningful connections through total engagement in the arts.

Alberta Street Gallery is a cooperative gallery of 30 local artists in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Northeast Portland.
In addition to our members’ art, we mount monthly shows that begin on the “Last Thursday” of every month. Our front windows feature new work by two of our member artists, and we curate group shows in Lavaun's Community Gallery, a special exhibition space inside the gallery named for and made possible by gallery member Lavaun Benavidez Heaster, a legally blind collage artist who died in 2020.
