The Fold is delighted to be honouring the Celtic Wheel of the Year, so that we may gather together in Community, connect with the land, each other, and touch the sacred in the cycles of nature.
Our next gathering is for the fire festival of Imbolc (pronounced ee-molk). This is the time between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, when we're still in winter's grip but the snowdrops are out and we can feel the days getting longer. It's a time to go deep within, touching our own spark of creativity to light a candle which will guide us in the coming year.
Unless the temperature is really cold, we will celebrate outdoors, so please dress very warmly. (We'll be under cover in our barn so it will be dry). The event is free and we begin with a simple vegan hotpot meal provided provided by our community farm. You are invited to bring vegetarian or vegan food to share, but don't worry if you can't. Bringing yourself is enough. We don't have enough bowls/cutlery/mugs for everyone, so please do try to bring a set for yourself.
We'll talk about the celebration of Imbolc around a roaring fire and have a chance to do some inner journeying to connect with our Mother Earth and Brigid's Hearth.
