The International Law and Human Rights Unit of the University of Liverpool School of Law and Social Justice are delighted to host a book launch for the new monograph by Dr Amanda Cahill-Ripley (University of Liverpool) entitled Socio-Economic Rights in Times of Crisis and Normality: Article 4 Limitations Under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (Bristol University Press 2025).

The event will begin with a presentation by Dr Cahill-Ripley, who will introduce the core themes of her monograph and reflect on its wider impact since publication. This will be followed by a panel discussion of the book with three distinguished expert speakers: Prof Sigrun Skogly (Lancaster University), Dr Luis Felipe Yanis (University of Edinburgh and Scottish Human Rights Commission), Dr Luke D Graham (University of Manchester). The event will conclude with an open Q&A session, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the author and the panellists.
