IL-KUNSILL TAT-TRIQ combines music and theatre to ask urgent questions about who shapes our public spaces and how they serve us 🏡 This gig theatre performance features original hip-hop and rock tracks, satirical characters, and a unique story about community, politics, and belonging.
Chewing Productions, in collaboration with 141 Records, has assembled a team of actors, Hiphop artists, designers, and musicians to investigate the decision-making process of our streets and spaces. Driven by a public and participatory research process, the performance is directed by Alex Weenink and features music by Funky Monkey and lyrics by REA ⭐️
🎤 The performance will preview to a limited audience at Storeroom on Sunday 2nd August before ending its tour at Teatru Salesjan on Sunday 9th August - where the audience is also invited to join in celebrating the anniversaries of Chewing Productions & 141 Records.
The cast, band, and creative team include Benjamin Abela, Kaylie Magri, Lara Agius, Myles Azzopardi, Lil-Jun, Buzu, Luke Ellul, Mich Mallia, JG, Samwel Mallia, Michaela Pia Camilleri, and Maya Pollacco.
