Format for this event is Round Robin. What does that mean?
Matchups: The software automatically pairs people up so everyone plays each other over a set number of "rounds". For example, if there are 6 players, the tournament will have 5 rounds.
Gameplay: Two players go head-to-head on the same machine. Sometimes they both play independently to compare scores (a 2-player game), or they play the same machine in turns to simulate a direct face-off.
Scoring: The winner of the match gets a point, and the loser gets zero.
The Goal: Unlike traditional single-elimination brackets, where one loss knocks you out, the round robin ensures every participant gets to play a large number of games.
Players generally like this format for its fairness. Everyone will get to play multiple rounds, on different machines, against various participants.
