Dura Mater: The Nottingham-based 8-piece is back, following features in DIY Mag and Notts’ own Left Lion. Dura Mater joins the line up to add good vibes and a raucous energy to our bill – each song is crammed with brooding brass, soaring choruses and a much-needed blast of tenderness. Horns, strings and guitars fill out their distinct, robust sound, echoing Arcade Fire and Black, Country New Road. Expect a stellar show from a band that have recently supported the all-conquering Geese.
All proceeds from the night support Grassroots Suicide Prevention’s stellar work breaking the stigma surrounding suicide. The charity empowers people to help save lives from suicide through educating, connecting and campaigning nationally.
