Idea to Asset: Planning and Delivering Your Community Ownership Project

This hands‑on session will show how good project planning can turn a great idea into a sustainable, community‑owned asset.

Dundee City Council will share information about how communities can take ownership of assets through Community Asset Transfer and explain the steps involved. You'll also learn about available support services for exploring governance options, planning your project including creating business plans, generating sustainable income, and securing funding.

The session will feature a combination of informative presentations along with opportunities for networking and exchanging information about your projects with various groups from across the city. Attendees will be able to engage directly with service providers and ask questions that are relevant to their projects.

Several organisations will be available on the day to offer information and answer questions, including Dundee City Council, Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action, the Scottish Land Fund, Community Ownership Support Service, NHS Community Benefit Gateway and Business Gateway Dundee.
