About this Event
ICS I-200, Basic Incident Command System
This course is open to current UFV employees only.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will have the skills needed to manage single resources and establish command using the Incident Command System model.
This course follows the standard ICS Canada Curriculum for Basic Incident Command System (ICS I-200). Graduates of this course will be able to describe how the Incident Command System (ICS) is used to manage Single Resources and describe the management required for initial action incidents. This course builds on ICS I-100, provides the foundation for higher-level ICS training, and provides you with advanced knowledge of the features, principles and organizational structure of the Incident Command System.
The target audience for this course includes persons who may be first on the scene of an incident and for those assigned to a supervisory position within the Emergency Operations Centre at UFV.
Note: This is an instructor-led course, not an independent study, and meets ICS Canada requirements to act as a prerequisite for ICS I-300. ICS Canada requires a 6-month period between ICS I-200 and ICS I-300.
ICS I-100 is a prerequisite for this course. Please ensure you have a valid ICS I-100 certificate prior to this course. ICS Canada offers this online training through their website: https://icscanada.ca/training/online-ics-100-training/
If you completed your ICS-100 certification from another organization, please provide a copy of your approved ICS-100 certificate to [email protected].
