Designed to help you explore postgraduate study, and understand how the different creative paths of our courses intersect. Our tutors will guide you through our various music programmes and explain how collaboration, innovation, and critical thinking forms the heart of postgraduate life at ICMP.

Held at our Queen’s Park campus, this event combines the elements you'd expect at any university open event, alongside curated interactive sessions. These sessions will give you the chance to dig deeper in our postgraduate courses in Music Performance, Production, Songwriting, Vocals, and Music Business. And, critically, you'll discover how the different areas of study connect and complement each other, creating a pool of collaboration and creativity unique to ICMP's postgraduate offer.

What to Expect

We aim to give you a feel for what postgraduate study at ICMP is all about. Rather than just sitting through presentations, you’ll be part of an open, collaborative environment where your creative journey takes centre stage. Each session is designed to offer meaningful, hands-on insight into our different MA pathways.

Whether you’re stepping into a performance space, or turning your artistry into research, co-writing in a dynamic songwriting session, or diving into new ways of creating music as a producer — you’ll be encouraged to think beyond your current practice. Our music business-focused session opens up the wider music industry and gets you thinking about how to navigate it with purpose and strategy, blending academic thinking with real-world action.
